Blackfalds is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located along Highway 2A just north of Red Deer.

The population of the Town of Blackfalds according to its 2011 municipal census is 6,399,[3][4] a 14.1% increase over its 2009 municipal census population of 5,610 living in 2,380 dwellings.[5][6]
In 2006, the town had a population of 4,571, a land area of 8.40 km2 (3.24 sq mi), and a population density of 544.3 /km2 (1,410 /sq mi).[2] With a 46.7% growth rate, or 1,455 new residents since 2001, it was one of the fastest growing communities in central Alberta between 2001 and 2006.
